Social networking allows us to:

Unity of The Light was founded as a sacred gathering place for individuals seeking a deeper understanding of God, a living relationship with the Spirit, and an inclusive spiritual path centered on the life and teachings of Jesus. While nondenominational in structure, we draw our spiritual insight and guidance from two primary sources: The Holy Bible and The Urantia Book. These sacred texts together offer a dynamic foundation for faith, truth-seeking, and soul growth, illuminating both the historic message of salvation and an expanded revelation of God’s universal plan for creation.

This Doctrinal Foundation Policy outlines the core spiritual beliefs that guide our church’s teachings, practices, and community life. It is not a rigid creed but a framework of shared spiritual truths around which unity, growth, and service can flourish.

1. God the Father: The Universal Source and Center

We affirm that God is the infinite and eternal Father of all creation. He is personal, loving, omnipresent, and knowable. In both the Bible and The Urantia Book, God is revealed as the First Source and Center, the Universal Father, and the origin of all spirit, mind, and matter.

We believe that Jesus—born as a man on Earth—is the incarnate Son of God and a divine revelation of the Father. The Bible presents Jesus as the Savior and Messiah; The Urantia Book further reveals Him as Michael of Nebadon, a Creator Son who voluntarily lived as a human to demonstrate God’s love and truth.

Father centered means striving to be more and more like God by seeking His Thought-Will first among the many human thoughts in your mind.

4. The Bible and The Urantia Book: Complementary Revelations

We embrace the Holy Bible as a divinely inspired record of God’s covenant with humanity, containing spiritual truths, moral teachings, and the life of Jesus as revealed through the prophets and apostles.

We also honor The Urantia Book as an epochal revelation that expands the understanding of cosmic reality, spiritual cosmology, and the deeper meaning of Jesus’ life and mission on Earth.

While the Bible provides a historical and spiritual foundation, The Urantia Book offers clarity and cosmic context, aligning with and illuminating the essential truths of the Gospel message.

Our approach is reverent and open-minded: we affirm what is spiritually fruitful and consistent with God’s nature of love, justice, mercy, and truth.

5. Salvation, Eternal Life, and Soul Progression

We teach that salvation is the personal acceptance of God’s grace, a living faith in His goodness, and the sincere desire to do His will. Eternal life is God’s gift to all who seek Him in spirit and in truth.
